FLIR Iintroduces Thermacam SC 3000 High Speed Thermal Imaging System
FLIR Systems, Inc. recently introduced the ThermaCAMÒ SC 3000, an advanced infrared focal plane array (FPA) camera capable of capturing and storing thermal images and data at extremely high rates of up to 900Hz NTSC/750 Hz PAL. Incorporating a quantum well infrared photodetector (QWIP) sensor, the most modern IR detector technology available, the SC 3000 offers ultra-high thermal sensitivity, broad dynamic range and revolutionary longwave imaging. Ideal for analyzing high-speed targets and dynamic events in non-destructive evaluation, research and development, product design validation, quality control, target signature analysis and medical applications, the SC 3000 features real-time 900Hz/750 Hz digital output and unparalled precision temperature measurement capabilities.
The ThermaCAM SC 3000's QWIP cooled sensor delivers outstanding image resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and thermal sensitivity of less than 20 mK at 30°C providing accuracy and stability unmatched by any other commercial IR camera. Longwave (8 to 9 um) imaging performance provides superb high-definition thermal images that enable users to clearly see, measure and quantify thermal performance across extremely wide temperature ranges, and in the most demanding research and scientific testing environments.
Ruggedly built, the SC 3000 provides resistance to dust and moisture and stores images and thermal data on high capacity PC cards. Data is easily exported to ExcelÒ, MatLabÒ and other common analysis packages. Coupled with FLIR's ThermaCAMÒ Researcher HS Windows-based digital storage and analysis software program, the camera's 14-bit digital output connector feeds real-time data at the rate of 900Hz/750 Hz directly to a PC for recording and analysis. Static 14-bit images can also be stored on the system's removable PC cards. The SC 3000 delivers the most advanced totally battery powered research solution available.
The ThermaCAM SC Family consists of five high performance IR systems designed to meet varying scientific applications and budget requirements.
To date, over 30,000 commercial systems have been sold worldwide to support applications in research and development, non-destructive testing, manufacturing process control, predictive maintenance/condition monitoring and public safety. FLIR's ThermaCAM series of uncooled and cooled thermal imaging cameras have set the standard for thermographic testing and analysis and are the most widely used IR non-contact temperature measurement systems worldwide.
