Enginasion Launches Both LabVIEW And Android Programming Services For Industrial Control Systems

West Boylston, MA .Enginasion announced recently that it is now offering both LabVIEW and Android programming services for industrial control systems.

LabVIEW (Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Engineering Workbench) is a computer system design platform and development environment for a visual programming language from National Instruments. Originally released for the Apple Macintosh in 1986, LabVIEW is commonly used for data acquisition, instrument control, and industrial automation on a variety of platforms including Microsoft Windows, various versions of UNIX, Linux, and Mac OS X.

Android is a Linux-based operating system for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. Android has a large community of developers writing applications (“apps”) that extend the functionality of the devices. As of February 2012 there were more than 450,000 apps available for Android, and the estimated number of applications downloaded from the Android Market as of December 2011 exceeded 10 billion. Android was listed as the best-selling smartphone platform worldwide in Q4 2010, with over 300 million Android devices in use by February 2012. According to Google, as of February 2012 there are over 850,000 Android devices activated every day.
